Why Ab Exercise Equipment Isn’t Helping you Get a 6 Pack

It’s the human way, we want to believe that we can get something for nothing (in this case a set of 6 pack abs with no real effort), and the marketing behind abs exercise equipment is exactly this. Use this particular piece of equipment to get a ripped set of abs in only 15 minutes a day.

The truth is there’s a lot more work to getting a six pack of abs then just using some ab exercise equipment, and that’s what we’ll look at in this article.

The Real Truth Behind Getting 6 Pack abs

Developing a 6 pack is a series of steps (you can read more about this in our free report, request it at the side of this page), not just doing sit-ups and crunches.

Let’s face it if you have some excess belly fat you can buy any ab exercise equipment you want. Without getting rid of those excess pounds you won’t be seeing any six pack anytime soon.

You have to first start with dropping those excess pounds, then start defining your abdominals.

Why Ab Exercise Equipment Won’t Burn Belly Fat

Abs exercise equipment only focuses on your abdominals. It doesn’t give you the full body workout that most of us need to reduce our body fat percentage. When first starting out on the journey to 6 pack abs you need to focus on multi joint and full body exercises. It’s these types of workouts that will get you lean.

Next you introduce ab specific workouts that will tone and define those abdominals to the six pack you want. You see when it comes to getting a 6 pack you cannot put the horse before the cart.

What Ab Exercise Equipment Can Do

I can’t deny that ab exercise equipment has a place (except for those gadget ab belts they’re worthless). Most of the equipment does force you to focus directly  on your abdominals and if your percentage body fat is lean enough you can use these machines to develop a ripped set of abs.

How ever the majority of us aren’t lean enough to be able to see those abdominals even if the ab machines can help us develop them. Hence why it all starts with shedding our belly fat first, changing our lifestyle and then focusing on building those abs.

Getting Started

If you’re unsure about what type of diet you should be eating, or workouts you should be doing I suggest you check out our free report at the side of this page. If you’re eager to get started right away there’s one book I highly recommend you read. It’s called The Truth About abs and is considered by many to be the bible for body fat loss and abdominal development. So before you rush out to spend $100 bucks on an ab exercise machine, check out The Truth About Abs, it’s a lot cheaper and will get a lot further then some fad piece of equipment.
